Highland youngster was about 6 months old, among heather. I couldn't resist the fringe! I walked with this herd, observing them for about 2 hours over the moor, starting at sunrise. As I gained their confidence, they allowed me to mingle with them. There is often a herd roaming freely around the road passing the Warren House Inn. They can roam quite deep into the moor. They often sleep near the road so can be found there first thing in the morning.
