Widecombe-in-the-Moor Village Green

Widecombe-in-the-Moor Village Green with St Pancras Church, known as the Cathedral in the Moor due to its unusually large size in a small village. The reason for this is when it was built around 1300 AD, it was the main church used for burial rites in a large radius. It was largely built by the tinners' money. This was taken in the early morning light. There is a lovely copper beach tree in the foreground.
